MARCH 2008
Plans are well underway for an inaugural event to launch shuffleboard in Holland this spring. Over 40 visitors from America will be in Amsterdam from 21st to 23rd April to demonstrate the game to a new audience. Many devotees of Sjoelbak, the Dutch tabletop version of shuffleboard are planning to be there and our Dutch distributor , Henk v.d. Flier of Halo Intra will also be in attendence. Following a recent campaign to contact some of the leading UK holiday park companies we are pleased to announce that Talacre beach resorts in North Wales have aready taken the game on for 3 of their centres, for both indoor and outdoor applications. In the coming months we hope to publish a list on the website of someof the many places you can go to play the great game of shuffleboard.
OCTOBER 2007
The response to our stand at LIW 2007 was absolutely fantastic with 5 of us busy all day showing visitors how to play and taking enquiries. The show in general was very well attended and our location between the family zone on one side and the food and drink section on the other proved ideal for shuffleboard. Everyone who tried the game entered the competition to win the court on display and at the end a draw was made. The lucky winner was Hillfield cottages and Country House nr. Dartmouth. We have been sent a photo of the location and it looks like a really beautiful development. When the court is installed next summer you will be able to see it on our gallery.
AUGUST 2007
Come and see us at the Leisure Industry Week ( LIW ) 2007 show at the NEC from 25th to 27th September. We are on stand 7075. We would love to meet you and it will give you a chance not only to try out Shuffleboard but also to WIN the fantastic poly tiled court we have on the stand.

New Shuffleboard Group.There's a great opportunity to join in the fun and learn with Ashwellthorpe Shuffleboard Club.
Come and join us at Ashwellthorpe Village Hall, Norfolk on Wednesday evenings, 7.30 - 9.30pm £2.50 per session. Beginning Weds 4th July. Shuffleboard is going from strength to strengthand is now available to play at Haven Holiday Villages at Hopton on Sea in Norfolk and Burnham on Sea in Somerset. Keep an eye open at other holiday venues wherever you are. If shuffleboard is not there why not put in a request to the management for a court.

Shuffleboard Europe have signed up for a stand at the International Leisure Industry Week 2007 exhibition at the NEC on 25 - 27th Sept. The show, organsied by Ithaca Media, is by far the most important and prestidgious event in the leisure calendar. We will be displaying a full sized polycourt and will be inviting visitors to try their hand at the game. The event attracts huge numbers of trade and public visitors alike and is expected to give a big boost to the sport of shuffleboard in the UK. More details to follow.

Shuffleboard Europe is pleased to announce the appointment of Lascom AB as distributors for Sweden. The company is run by Englishman, Gary Pratt, who specialises in corporate functions and entertainment. The appeal of the game is that the basics can be easily mastered in a matter of minutes and anyone can join in regardless of age and physical fitness. Gary feels the game has great potential in Sweden so aswell as offering the sport to his corporate customers, he also plans to offer it to a wider market.

Look out for Shuffleboard making a bizarre appearance on your TV soon. We were recently contacted by London based advertising agency Radical Media who needed to buy some equipment and rush it overnight to Madrid. They were producing an ad for BMW depicting old and obsolete robots trying to fill their time now they no longer build cars. And what did they choose to play... Shuffleboard of course! The robots have actually been programmed to play and word is they're pretty good.
